goodbye england rose-The song that made Elton John's for the Princess Diana.

Goodbye England's rose, may you ever grow in our hearts. You were the grace that placed itselfwhere lives were torn apart. You called out to our country, and you whispered to those in pain. Now you belong to heaven, and the stars spell out your name. And it seems to me you lived your lifelike a candle in the wind:never fading with the sunsetwhen the rain set in.And your footsteps will always fall here, along England's greenest hills;your candle's burned out long beforeyour legend ever will.Loveliness we've lost;these empty days without your smile. This torch we'll always carryfor our nation's golden child. And even though we try,the truth brings us to tears;all our words cannot expressthe joy you brought us through the years.Goodbye England's rose, from a country lost without your soul, who'll miss the wings of your compassionmore than you'll ever know.

Goo choice. But why did you choose to post it? What is your reaction to it? I expect to see your personal development of the issue.

I like the lyric, it is interesting because it is the first time I heard about it; I didn't know that exist a song dedicated to princess Diana, I found it very interesting!
Since I was a child, I was keen on reading about her life,; and besides I was 7 or 8 when she died, it was a shock for me, I really don't know why...I think it was the way she died!
She had been a very important person to her country and a lot of people remember her as a wonderful figure and transmit this through generations!
She had done a lot of charity and because of this she is one of the most memorable persons all around the world, the same as Mother Theresa from Calcuta.
